this week’s prompt:
A family gathers after a loss, and someone laughs.
Happy writing!
musings
My grandfather passed away yesterday, so no deep thoughts from me this week. And a short newsletter overall, but I still wanted to send out a prompt. Here’s hoping it inspires someone, somewhere.
things that caught my eye
Recent read: I’m reading a Martha’s Monthly rec that I’m really enjoying called Will and Testament.
Recent watch: Nothing in particular.
📗 Hybrid Interview on Rebe Huntman’s Memoir My Mother in Havana — via CRAFT.
🏡 America’s “First Car-Free Neighborhood” Is Going Pretty Good, Actually? — via Dwell. (not technically writing-related, but I’m a big believer in walkable communities being the answer to climate change and other major capitalist woes of our time)
